Job Description

This position is with the Encampment team. Outreach is split into 80% in the field; and 20% in the office. Providing outreach services to people living within the community who are in unhoused living situations (living in encampments, tent cities, under bridges, in the woods, etc.). Provide immediate support and guidance to individuals entering recovery and mental health treatment. Talking with individuals about seeking treatment or other services. Build rapport with those who are unhoused and with substance use and/or mental health disorders. Provide direct and indirect peer support services and emotional support to the client and/or families as indicated. Assist with transportation of clients and referrals to treatment. May provide on the spot assistance of Narcan and/or CPR.

Minimum Qualifications

• Have a valid driver’s license
• Applicant must have direct personal experience living with mental illness and/or addiction and recovery and must be willing to self-disclose lived experience for the purpose of education, role modeling, and providing hope to others about the reality of recovery.
• Have a Peer Certification or be willing to obtain within the first six months of hire.
• Have basic computer skills in Microsoft office: Word, Excel
