VP of Human Resources

Client: PE-backed luxury design and manufacturing company Title: Vice President, Human Resources Salary: $225,000-$250,000 + bonus Location: Union, NJ | 4 days onsite, 1 day remote Job Description A growing private equity-backed luxury design and manufacturing company is seeking a Vice President of Human Resources to lead the company’s people strategy through a major period of growth and organizational change. Reporting directly to the CEO, this executive will serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership, the Board, and private equity stakeholders while overseeing all aspects of HR strategy, organizational development, compensation and benefits, compliance, talent, and HR operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior HR leader who has helped scale organizations, supported M&A activity, and built high-performing HR functions within fast-paced, growth-oriented environments. Responsibilities Partner with the CEO and executive leadership team on organizational strategy, workforce planning, and business growth. Translate business priorities into scalable HR programs and processes. Lead organizational design, succession planning, executive talent strategy, and leadership development. Build and strengthen the HR function as the company continues to grow. Lead performance management, compensation, incentive planning, and talent review processes. Oversee employee benefits strategy, including plan design, vendor relationships, cost management, and negotiations. Ensure compliance with employment laws, HR policies, and regulatory requirements across multiple locations. Oversee employee relations, investigations, and employment risk matters. Support mergers and acquisitions, including HR due diligence, integration planning, compensation and benefits harmonization, and retention of key talent. Develop scalable HR infrastructure, systems, reporting, and analytics. Optimize HR technology and automation, including ADP Workforce Now. Partner closely with Finance and Legal on labor costs, risk management, and organizational effectiveness. Present talent, succession, workforce, and organizational updates to senior leadership and private equity stakeholders. Qualifications 15+ years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience. Significant experience operating at the VP or senior executive HR level. Private equity-backed company experience is required. Strong mergers and acquisitions experience is required. Proven experience building or scaling an HR function during periods of significant growth. Strong benefits expertise, including experience evaluating plans, managing vendors, and negotiating benefit programs. Deep knowledge of employment compliance and HR risk management.
