Description: EEG candidates must have experience with Cadwell and ARC software platforms. Candidates should be able to easily read brain wave patterns. EEG Techs will work independently. They will provide EEG services, including setup and takedown. Candidates must be flexible with shift hours to meet hospital needs. On-call hours may apply. Electromyography (EMG) assistance may be required when needed. Candidates must be comfortable training one new EEG staff member. Most tests will last 2 hours for inpatient or outpatient. Outpatient tests can be up to 6 hours, and direct admit patients may be required for longer durations. Common durations for EEG testing range from 24 to 72 hours. Candidates will maintain stocked carts and notify management when supplies are needed. Potential for STAT orders for neurosurgery patients may occur. Patient conditions may include seizures, altered mental status, stroke, and brain death. Interdisciplinary support will be provided by various teams, including respiratory services and physical therapy. Experience in adult inpatient and outpatient settings is preferred. Candidates must have strong troubleshooting skills for EEG machines. Experience with Epic charting systems is required. Attendance during weekend coverage may be required, with shared on-call responsibilities with other techs. Travelers are accepted, including first-time travelers.
