Job Details Setting: Mixed-acuity PCU / Med Surg surgical oncology unit Location: Columbus, OH 43210 Start Date: 11/2/2026 Duration: 16 weeks Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 3x12 schedule Hours per Week: 36 Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040 Charting System: Epic Schedule Notes: Weekend coverage may vary based on unit needs; floating may be required within scope of practice Orientation: 72 hours Job Requirements Active RN license in hand at time of submission Minimum 2 years of total acute care nursing experience At least 1 year of recent PCU experience required Recent, consistent acute care experience preferred BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required Experience with Epic charting required Comfort caring for adults and geriatric patients in a high-acuity oncology and surgical setting Ability to support compliance and credentialing requirements on an accelerated timeline Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program preferred Responsibilities Provide skilled nursing care for PCU and med-surg level surgical oncology patients Monitor and manage telemetry, dysrhythmias, and hemodynamic changes Administer chemotherapy support therapies, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, and drip management as ordered Care for patients with oncologic emergencies, cytokine release syndrome, insulin drips, and heparin drips Perform chest tube care and other unit-specific procedures within scope of practice Support infection prevention efforts and patient fall reduction initiatives Collaborate with IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response resources Float to other acute care oncology units as needed within scope of practice Apply now for this Travel PCU Registered Nurse job in Columbus, Ohio, and take the next step in your healthcare career today.
