Plasma Center Nurse - RN

Job Description Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) supporting plasma center operations under the guidance of the Center Manager and Center Physician. Responsibilities You will determine donor eligibility and manage informed consent, education, medical history interviews, physical examinations, blood testing, and review of serological protein electrophoresis results. You will evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including coordinating with the Center Physician and emergency care facilities. You will refer unacceptable findings to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical or technical issues. You will support hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees. You will manage employee incidents and coordinate evaluation with occupational health/ER as required. You may act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) and support investigations of pandemic threats in the local community. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate equivalent of a recognized nursing program with state requirements. Current state license or certification: Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA). Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification. Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy. Completion of FDA‑approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Two years’ experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
