The Position : Doctors of Optometry (O.D.s/optometrists) are the independent primary health care professionals for the eye. Optometrists examine, diagnose, treat, and manage diseases, injuries, and disorders of the visual system, the eye, and associated structures as well as identify related systemic conditions affecting the eye. The client offers the following salary and benefits:

• $150,000 - $175,000+ depending on experience

Requirements :

• Will accept new grads and 1+ years of experience
• Required licensure for the State of Florida
• Current DEA Certificate

Responsibilities :

• Must open to flexible schedule with 40 hours per week total
• Some weekends are mandatory
  

• Provide both routine and medical based optometry/comprehensive eye exams/refraction
• Pre & Post-op cataract care
• Fitting and prescribing of contact lenses
• Provide vision tests and analyze results
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses and medications
• Conduct eye exams for diabetes and glaucoma screenings
