Every day you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care across different specialties, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. You will be expected to collaborate seamlessly within diverse interdisciplinary teams, adapt quickly to new unit environments and patient populations, and contribute to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes, no matter the assignment.

• Collects patient data based on diagnosis, age and/or developmental age. Analyzes data collected.
• Plans and prioritizes individualized care based on the assessment, utilizing nursing diagnosis, including teaching and discharge needs of the patient and family, and sets outcome goals in coordination with other disciplines.
• Ensures that the patient/family participates in the plan of care as able, and that plan of care addresses age-specific and cultural needs.
• Implements appropriate standards based on assessment. Prioritizes and organizes care within the allotted time frames.
• Coordinates discharge steps or ensures appropriate referral to address timely, appropriate discharge needs.
• Demonstrates competency and efficiency in psychomotor skills generic to scope of practice and in those required in specific area of care.

Job Requirements

Required

• Active Registered Nurse license in the State of California
• Basic Life Support - CPR from the American Heart Association
• ACLS from the American Heart Association
• PALS from the American Heart Association, within 6 months of hire
• High School Graduate

Preferred

• Telemetry experience. Acute Care experience
