Snapshot / Role Overview
We're looking for an HVAC Estimator in Orange County to produce accurate, competitive bids on major commercial mechanical projects across HVAC, sheet metal, chiller, and boiler scopes.
Impact
Deliver material and labor estimates that win large commercial work.
Build thorough bid packages for HVAC and sheet metal systems.
Find value engineering opportunities across mechanical scopes.
Bridge preconstruction and project management with clean bid recaps.
Responsibilities
Perform quantity takeoffs in Trimble AutoBid, QuickPen, and FastDuct.
Prepare design-build, design-assist, and plans-and-specs estimates.
Develop conceptual budgets early and refine as design matures.
Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and vendor quotes.
Analyze drawings for scope gaps, constructability risks, and value engineering.
Support project management at bid handoff.
Must-Haves
Commercial HVAC and sheet metal estimating experience.
Proficiency with Trimble AutoBid, QuickPen, or FastDuct.
Ability to estimate design-build and design-assist work.
Nice-to-Haves
Field or fabrication background.
Healthcare or life science project exposure.
Compensation and Logistics
Competitive salary depending on experience, plus benefits. Onsite in Orange County.
