Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Medical Surgical Oncology Nurse on the Sacramento, California, campus. The role involves providing specialized care for adult patients with cancer diagnoses such as leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and those undergoing stem cell transplantation. The nurse will serve as a Case Manager in a clinical setting, collaborating with multiple departments to coordinate appointments, respond to patient messages via electronic health records, and support outpatient oncology patients. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: Sacramento, California
• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting on 06/29/2026
• Required Qualifications: Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Chemotherapy (ONS/ONCC), Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN), Bone Marrow Transplant Coordinator (BMTCN); 1 year of oncology experience; current licensure; experience with electronic medical records (EMR), specifically Epic; and vaccination against COVID-19.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bone marrow transplant (BMT) experience.
• Additional Information: The role involves administering bone marrow therapies, managing complex patient conditions including graft rejection and graft-versus-host disease, providing patient and family education, and supporting outpatient oncology care. The candidate must complete compliance modules prior to the start date, with a firm presentation of time off requests upfront.
• Other Details:
  • Experience level ranges from 1 to 3 years depending on the unit.
  • RTO (Request for Time Off) must be presented at the time of submission.
  • Travel compliance documentation is due the Wednesday prior to the start date, with travel booked approximately three weeks out.
  • Modules required are non-billable, with an average completion time of 20 to 30 hours, and must be documented accordingly.
  • No float rotation is indicated, and parking costs are not included in the rate.
  • Candidate must demonstrate active commitment to compliance requirements.
