Gastroenterology Physician

Concord Physicians Solutions

Location: Rahway, NJ
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing
Schedule: Monday Friday 8-Hour Day Shifts + Emergency On-Call
Setting: Inpatient Only
EMR: Epic
Support: Solo with access to Hospitalists and Intensivists (No APPs)

Daily Expectations:

Daily rounding and consultations
Average census: 5 10 patients/day
Inpatient procedures
Emergency call coverage required
No clinic responsibilities

Required Procedures (May Include):

ERCP (Diagnostic & Therapeutic)
Diagnostic EGD
Esophageal dilatation with guidewire
Esophageal stent placement
Argon Plasma Coagulator
Snare Polypectomy
Total Colonoscopy
Flexible Sigmoidoscopy
PEG placement
Laser Endoscopy
Paracentesis
Pneumatic dilation of achalasia
Video Capsule Endoscopy
GI bleeding management (massive, acute, or non-variceal)
Tumor ablation
Ulcerative colitis and Crohn s Disease treatment
Airway management (if ACLS certified and approved by Anesthesia Chair)

Requirements:

Board Certified in Gastroenterology Required
ACLS Certification Required
Proficient in full range of inpatient GI procedures
Must be comfortable working solo in a hospital-based setting
