Highly Specialized Gastrointestinal Medical Practice

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay: $22.00–$24.00 per hour, depending on experience

We are seeking an experienced, professional, friendly, and highly detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our highly specialized gastrointestinal medical practice.

This is a fast-paced specialty office where exceptional patient service, accuracy, efficiency, and the ability to multitask are essential. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, professional, and comfortable handling both front-office responsibilities and direct patient-care support.

Basic Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of medical office experience
• Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist preferred
• Professional, friendly, and welcoming appearance and demeanor
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Dependable, punctual, and professional
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook
• Experience with electronic medical records preferred
• Ability to walk patients to examination rooms
• Ability to obtain and accurately document patient vital signs
• Must be comfortable performing both administrative and patient-care duties

Responsibilities

Front Office

• Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner
• Answer and manage incoming telephone calls
• Schedule and assist with patient appointments
• Check patients in and out
• Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information
• Collect copays, deductibles, and other patient payments
• Process payments accurately
• Perform accurate data entry
• Assist patients with paperwork and questions

Patient Care

• Escort patients to examination rooms
• Room patients efficiently
• Obtain and accurately document vital signs
• Prepare examination rooms for patient visits
• Clean and prepare rooms between patients
• Maintain efficient patient flow throughout the office

Medical Records

• Ensure all required patient paperwork is completed
• Ensure paperwork is uploaded into the patient's chart
• Accurately input patient information and documentation into the electronic medical record
• Review documentation for completeness and accuracy
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements

Inventory & Office Support

• Monitor medical and office supplies
• Maintain inventory and notify management when supplies need to be reordered
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and professional
• Assist with other administrative and patient-care duties as needed
