Role Description: The Certified Personal Trainer position is a part-time, on-site role based in Madison, WI, working within the wellness spa environment to support clients in achieving their fitness and overall well-being goals. The position may transition to a full-time, managerial position in the future. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting fitness assessments, designing individualized training programs, and leading one-on-one and small-group sessions that align with Kneaded Relief’s focus on stress reduction and holistic wellness. The trainer will coach clients on safe exercise techniques, monitor progress, and adjust programs as needed to maintain effectiveness and motivation. Additional duties include collaborating with other wellness staff, providing basic guidance on healthy lifestyle habits, maintaining a clean and safe training space, and delivering a professional, inclusive, and supportive client experience. Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in Personal Training and Fitness Instruction, with the ability to create safe, effective, and engaging programs for diverse fitness levels. Experience in Circuit Training and Sports Coaching to support varied training styles, performance goals, and small-group sessions. Foundational knowledge of Nutrition to offer general guidance that complements fitness plans and overall wellness objectives. Current nationally recognized Personal Trainer certification (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM, or equivalent) and CPR/AED certification. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-centered, non-judgmental, and privacy-respecting approach. Ability to work collaboratively in a spa and wellness team, with professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to creating a calm, welcoming atmosphere.
