Registered Nurse (RN) HTP Preop/PACU

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) HTP Preop/PACU Duration: 12 months Shift: Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Experience: Minimum of 2 years in critical care, pre-op, and Recovery/PACU required. Strong background in telemetry is required. License: NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license Certifications: Required certifications include BLS - AHA, ACLS - AHA, PALS, and Telemetry certification. Must-Have: Preop and PACU experience highly preferred. Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient needs. Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Develops, implements, and coordinates an individualized plan of care for patients assigned based on initial and ongoing assessments. Initiates assessment based on the patient's problems or needs and the physician's medical diagnosis. Performs therapeutic nursing interventions. Manages care of patients. Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities. Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery. Provides patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities include admission assessment, IV placement, and procedure recovery.
