Schedule: Part time

Shift: 24 Hours (United States of America)

Job Description:

• Other duties as assigned. Answers and transfers incoming calls promptly and accurately.
• Responds quickly and accurately to all codes, alerts, drills, and testing. Documents all event details in a timely and accurate manner.
• Executes all communications efficiently and accurately.
• Stays current and knowledgeable in all applicable hospital, code, and departmental procedures.
• Assists with training new staff members on call processing procedures.

• Ability to remain calm, composed, and professional at all times
• Demonstrates effective communication with all team members, callers, staff, patients, and families. Ability to speak with callers distinctly and clearly
• Ability to remain attentive for incoming codes and alerts
• Ability and willingness to quickly adapt to change
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency in emergency matters. Able to readapt swiftly, as required
• Ability to think proactively, progressively, compassionately, and responsibly
• Ability to follow instructions and timely respond to all matters during normal or stressful conditions alike
• Ability to multi-task (i.e., read and respond to emails, document events, take calls, and communicate with team, as needed)
• Ability and willingness to work in a team environment as well as independently
• Ability to remain engaged while also maintaining satisfactory participation and attendance for all meetings and staff development programs
• Ability to work a variable/flexible shift to include nights, weekends, and holidays
• Complies with the Facility Employee Code of Conduct
• Demonstrates compliance with all HIPAA, federal, state, and local laws, rules, and government
• Promotes evidence of adherence to the hospital confidentiality policy
• High school graduate or equivalent
• One (1) year PBX switchboard/operator, call center high call volume environment, clerical/administrative, hospitality, and/or customer service-focused experience
• Excellent customer service
• Ability to comprehensively document event details accurately
• Proficiency in reading, writing/spelling, and communicating information. (English)
• Willingness to learn and advance in role
• Ability to follow instruction
• Ability to respond to urgent matters accordingly

• Education:
• Associate
• High School Grad or Equiv

• Work Experience:
• 1+ year experience in a hospital and/or a medical / healthcare setting
• 1+ year PBX switchboard/operator, call center high call volume environment, clerical/administrative, hospitality, and/or customer service-focused experience
• 1+ years experience
• 2+ years PBX switchboard/operator, call center high call volume environment, clerical/administrative, hospitality, and/or customer service-focused experience

Physical Requirements -

Pay Range: $15.79 - $23.68
