This position is located in Hamilton, Washington State.Department Summary: The Operations Manager oversees daily production processes associated operations. This position requires strong people management skills and ability to communicate across multiple organizational boundaries and disciplines. Management of up to 100 personnel on multiple shifts is required. They will serve as a back up to the Operations Director and/or Vice President. Operations Managers will assist in training for new cell managers and/or opening new direct labor positions as needed. This position requires previous experience as a Cell Manager at Janicki.Roles & Responsibilities:Directly responsible for the daily function and execution of production cellsAnalyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow for optimal use of resourcesBackfills for Operations Director and Cell Managers during vacation or sick timeMonitors and maintains operations key process indicators (production LPI's, direct labor billable, workorder accuracy tracking, etc.)Works towards continuous Improvement goals within various work centersAssist in training and development of new cell managers/leads and provides cross-training for those moving to new cellsDocuments lessons learned from complex or long duration projectsAuthorizes and coordinates cross-cell movement of shared resources such as metrology techniciansCoordinates O.J.T. for new hire production or operations personnelHires and trains next tier of technicians and leads to complete assigned workIdentifies areas for improvement among cell members and implements cross training accordingly to create a more capable and homogenous teamOwns the 5S Standards for the manufacturing organization and assists with providing site direction and coaching on best practicesProvides support during auditsAssists cell managers with planning and schedulingAssist with plant-to-plant project coordinationDemonstrated ability to inspire others; show a strong work ethic; set a positive example by providing assistance, recognition and encouragement; to identify and articulate clear, meaningful goals; to focus the efforts of others, and to quickly adapt well to changing conditionsEvidence of a management style which successfully builds alliances within the corporationDemonstrates an emphasis on high morale, effective teamwork, high performance and delivery of commitmentsMust work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlinesShall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisorsMust be at work on time and maintain good attendancePerforms other duties as assignedBasic Qualifications:A bachelor's degree, technical engineering degree, or business degree is preferredMinimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED3-5 years of experience as a cell manager within Janicki Industries preferredGeneral understanding of AS9100 and NADCAP compliance requirementsMust be familiar with a variety of the composite field's concepts, practices, and procedures; must be able to rely on extensive experience, problem-solving skills, and judgment to plan and accomplish goalsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailMust be familiar with a variety of the fields' concepts, practices and proceduresMust be able to rely on extensive experience, problem-solving skills and judgment to plan and accomplish goalsMust have good communication and teambuilding skillsMust be familiar with Microsoft Office products, SAP or similar ERP systemsDue to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3)This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employedSpecial Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation programDetailed Wage Information Wage range for this role is between $90,000 - $160,000 a year plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits.
