Clinical Outcomes Specialist - Inpatient Rehabilitation and Neurology
$53.36 per hourMD Anderson
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and a Master's Degree in a healthcare field, and five years of clinical nursing experience, including three years of oncology nursing experience. The candidate must hold a current Texas RN license, maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification. The ideal candidate must also be available to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, day shift.
The Rehab/Neuro unit is a 32 bed unit that cares for neurosurgery, neuro oncology, and inpatient rehabilitation patients. The patient population is primarily adults ages 18 and older. The unit focuses on acute care and neuro progressive care patients who require close monitoring, especially within the first 24 hours post surgery. Quality and patient outcomes are central to practice, and the team actively participates in evidence based practice, committees, and professional development opportunities. The acute care rehabilitation service supports safe transitions to the community and includes bowel and bladder retraining, dysphagia management, tracheostomy and ostomy care, wound care, and medication management. • Identify quality and process improvement opportunities
• Lead and collaborate with the interprofessional team in planning, delivery, and evaluation of patient focused care
• Coordinate and integrate care across the continuum for assigned patient populations
• Analyze patient data and outcomes to drive improvements in care delivery

Experience Required: Five years of clinical nursing experience including three years of oncology nursing experience, or three years of oncology nursing experience with a preferred advanced degree
