Labor And Delivery Registered Nurse (Rn)We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in L&D and high-risk deliveries. This role requires commitment to providing exceptional care for patients throughout the labor, delivery, and postpartum processes.Shift DetailsShift Length: 12 hoursGuaranteed Hours: 36 hours per weekSchedule: 12-hour day shifts, every other weekendFloating: L&D nurses may float to Antepartum and Postpartum unitsUnit InformationUnit Type: Labor and Delivery / PerinatalNumber of L&D Beds: 12Number of Triage Beds: 10Number of Antepartum Beds: 12Monthly Births: Approximately 200Patient Ratios: Follow AWHONN guidelinesFetal Monitoring System: Fetal LinkElectronic Medical Records: CernerResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive care to laboring patients, including monitoring fetal heart rates and administering medications as required.Assist in routine and complicated deliveries, including C-sections, and ensure sterile techniques are maintained.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including OB/GYNs and Neonatologists, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Support high-risk patients with various conditions such as hypertension, gestational diabetes, and substance abuse issues.Engage in patient and family education regarding the birthing process and postpartum care.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.Required Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM), BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).Experience with circulating and scrubbing in C-sections is preferred.Familiarity with medications such as Pitocin, Mag Sulfate, and Insulin drips.Travel experience is preferred.Additional InformationWeekend Requirement: Every other weekend.Holiday Requirement: One major and two minor holidays per year.Uniform: Scrubs provided, must adhere to sterile requirements.No acrylic or overlay nails allowed during the assignment.If you are a motivated professional ready to make a significant impact in the Labor and Delivery unit, we invite you to apply and join our exceptional team.
