We are looking to add an optometric technician to join our growing team. This position includes assisting doctors by conducting pretesting and preliminary examinations, performing specialty testing for ocular and systemic disease, assisting patients with contact lens care, and providing patients with an overall positive experience in our office. Starting salary is dependent on experience and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient screenings and visual acuity testing
• Prepare and maintain ophthalmic equipment
• Assist with lens fittings and patient education on contact lens handling
• Accurately enter patient data and manage records
• Maintain strict infection control and hygiene standards
• Provide occasional educational support regarding basic eye care

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years' experience in optometry support
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficient in visual acuity testing and ophthalmic equipment operation
• Strong patient communication skills
• Familiarity with medical terminology and infection control standards
• Accurate data entry capabilities
• Effective time management and team collaboration skills
