HVAC Energy Management Technician

Location: South Carolina
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary:

You’ll be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and proper operation of hospital refrigeration, air conditioning, evaporative cooling, mechanical ventilation, and ice-making equipment. This includes control work and computer design for air conditioning systems.

What We’re Looking For:

• Education: High School Diploma (Associate’s degree in HVAC preferred).
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with BMS controls.
• Licenses/Certifications:
  • South Carolina Journeyman Heating & A/C Certification (or equivalent).
  • Certificate of training in air conditioning.

Core Responsibilities:

• Perform analytical diagnosis and mechanical repairs on HVAC equipment.
• Conduct planned maintenance on all mechanical systems.
• Make quick, clear decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Work collaboratively with peers and other departments.
• Handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.

Physical & Skill Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, lift, and move equipment for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity and good eye-hand coordination.
• Fluent in English (read, write, speak).
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
