About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Chef Instructor to join our Fischer & Wieser Cooking School team. As the Lead Chef Instructor, you are able to entertain and teach a group of guest in a hands on cooking class, ensuring that they receive the highest quality of customer service, food, and overall an exceptional culinary experience. You will be expected to lead by example, demonstrating exceptional culinary skills and knowledge by presenting a learning curriculum with a diverse selection of cooking profiles, related recipes, and seasonally relevant menus. Position works with CPM to document and maintain operational processes within the cooking school program to ensure the highest quality experience for all cooking school participants from all class instructors. Promote Fischer & Wieser products in all classes and other local events. Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience as a professional chef, with a strong background in culinary training.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively teach and entrain a large group of people
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and equipment, as well as industry trends and best practices.
- The lead Chef Instructor will teach the majority of Culinary Adventure Cooking School classes. Minimum 4 classes per week. This includes preparing foods, providing demonstrations, lecturing on technique, flavor profile, and wine pairing while facilitating the customers achievement in preparing additional recipes through hands-on learning.
- Assist in creating monthly classes including menus, recipes, class equipment lists and kitchen setup, chef instructor manual for teaching and demos, and a participant recipe packet template.
- Work alongside other teaching chefs and collaborate to ensure all are following the defined class/event structure and providing the highest quality customer experience in all hands-on cooking classes and private events.
- Assisting in the estimated Food Consumption and prepare food orders for proposed classes and events
- Deliver engaging and informative culinary instruction to guest, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and techniques.
- Maintain a safe and clean culinary learning environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
