Litigation Attorney

A well established, full service law firm is looking to add an experienced commercial litigator to its Chicago practice. This opportunity would suit an attorney seeking sophisticated work, greater influence over the direction of their practice and the resources to expand their client base within a collaborative platform. The successful attorney will join an established litigation team with existing client relationships and strong connections across complementary practice areas. The Role Lead complex commercial disputes in state and federal courts. Develop litigation strategy and manage matters from inception through resolution. Handle trials, dispositive motions, depositions, mediations and arbitrations. Advise closely held businesses, executives, investors and other sophisticated clients. Manage and strengthen client relationships while developing new business. Supervise and mentor associates working across complex matters. Collaborate with attorneys across corporate, real estate, employment and private client practices. Candidate Profile Approximately 10 or more years of sophisticated litigation experience. Experience handling business disputes, contractual claims, ownership disputes, fiduciary matters or commercial real estate litigation. Meaningful first chair, courtroom or arbitration experience. A portable practice or an established record of originating and expanding client relationships. Strong commercial judgment and the ability to communicate directly with business owners and senior decision makers. Illinois Bar admission or the ability to become admitted. #J-18808-Ljbffr
