Manager In Training (Part Time)

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina (Archdale Marketplace) Job Title: Manager in Training Department: Operations FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Reports To: Store Manager Hourly: $12.00 - $12.00 SUMMARY The Manager in Training assists the Store Manager with overall operations and administrative duties, ensuring policies, procedures, and standards are upheld. The role requires knowledge of all product areas, promotes sales and customer service, and provides supervisory control in the manager’s absence. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assist the Store Manager in controlling store assets. Consult with the Store Manager to establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling. Assume responsibility for the entire store in the manager’s absence. Provide guidance to employees and customers across all departments. Maintain awareness of inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability. Direct staff to complete departmental responsibilities and uphold standards. Present inventory movements and customer trends to the Store Manager. Ensure quality customer service is maintained. Perform general administrative duties as needed. Offer extraordinary customer service as highlighted in the customer service manual. Promote and sell Hibbett I City Gear services and merchandise. Uphold all Hibbett I City Gear policies, procedures, and standards. Protect company assets and financial information through accurate internal controls. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise employees in the absence of the Store Manager. Carry out supervisory responsibilities per company policies and applicable laws. Interview, train, plan, assign, and direct work. Resolve employee issues. QUALIFICATIONS Experience working in a retail environment, preferably footwear and athletic apparel. 1-3 years of customer service experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to assist in managing a team and maintain overall goals and profits. Self‑starter with initiative to take on tasks without being asked. Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and with precision. Team player passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise. #J-18808-Ljbffr
