A day in this role

You start your shift with a quick walkthrough, noting a conveyor with a noisy idler, a filler valve that needs tuning, and a drive showing a fault code. You pull prints, trace circuits, and verify power on a 480V, 3‑phase motor. By mid‑morning, you have the filler back to spec, the conveyor aligned, and a plan to swap a worn coupling on a blow molding unit. After lunch, you assist with installing a new machine guard, document your work, and huddle with teammates to prioritize the next preventive tasks. Before you head out, you tidy up, close out work orders, and leave the line ready for the night run.

What you will handle

• Perform routine facility and line inspections to spot issues early and keep uptime high.
• Diagnose and repair electromechanical equipment: motors, drives, conveyors, blow molding systems, filler machines, and high‑speed packaging assets.
• Work confidently with 480V and 3‑phase motor circuits.
• Interpret electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints to plan safe, effective repairs.
• Respond quickly to maintenance calls; troubleshoot on the fly and prevent repeat failures.
• Maintain accurate repair logs, PM records, and parts usage.
• Assist with installing and commissioning new equipment and auxiliary systems.
• Champion safety standards and maintain an organized, clean workspace.
• Collaborate with operations and fellow techs to improve throughput and reliability.

What you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
• Hands‑on experience as a maintenance technician or similar industrial role.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and plant electrical systems.
• Strength in mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
• Sharp diagnostic instincts, attention to detail, and solid documentation habits.
• Clear communication and a team‑first mindset.
• Flexibility to support evenings and weekends as needed.

Bonus and preferred backgrounds

$2,000 sign‑on bonus paid after 30 days. Experience in food, plastics, or packaging environments is a strong plus.
