Brand Marketing Intern

wnted is a Berkeley SkyDeck-backed consumer fintech startup building a new way for people to save toward the products they want. This is a hands-on content and growth role—not a 'post twice a week and hope' internship. You'll help shape wnted.'s public identity by creating, filming, editing, and distributing content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Reddit. You'll also represent wnted across your campus, personal social channels, and relevant student communities. Responsibilities Content creation: Write, shoot, and edit short-form videos, including talking-head reels, street-style interviews, skits, trend adaptations, and vox-pop content. Create static and carousel posts as needed. Filming and directing: Plan and direct shoots, recruit participants, and brief them for street-interview and collaborative content. On-camera presence: Consistently appear as a face of wnted.'s content, including unscripted interviews and interactions with strangers. Graphic design: Create branded assets in Canva using wnted.'s visual guidelines, including coral, cream, void black, and Chillax typography. Copywriting: Draft captions, hooks, keywords, calls to action, and Story copy in wnted.'s voice. Community and platform management: Engage with comments and DMs, run polls, quizzes, and question stickers, repost relevant content, and manage cross-platform distribution. Campus growth: Represent wnted within clubs, dorms, student organizations, and other campus communities. Develop and execute local activations such as tabling, giveaways, and ambassador-style outreach. Influencer and community partnerships: Identify and pitch collaborations with micro-influencers, campus creators, brands, and relevant online communities. Help coordinate collaborative content and giveaways. Performance reporting: Submit a written weekly content schedule and concise end-of-day performance reports covering output, engagement, learnings, and next steps. Requirements An active, well-maintained personal presence on Instagram and/or TikTok. An existing following is a strong plus but is not required. Willingness to appear on camera consistently, including in unscripted street-style content with strangers. Basic short-form video editing skills using CapCut, InShot, Premiere Pro, or a similar platform. Comfort using Canva or comparable design tools. A strong, casual, and internet-fluent writing voice. The ability to take ownership and work with minimal daily oversight once briefed. Growth Target Generate at least 100 net-new followers for @wnted.app through content, collaborations, campus activations, and community outreach during the internship.
