Network Architect

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in North Kansas City, MO that is seeking a Network Architect.

Summary:
The Network Architect partners closely with IT leadership to shape long-term infrastructure strategies and technology roadmaps. This position provides expert guidance in the architecture, design, deployment, and lifecycle management of complex enterprise network systems.
The Network Architect leads high-impact network initiatives across the cop, including the design, implementation, testing, optimization, and troubleshooting of advanced network solutions to ensure high performance, security, and scalability.

Responsibilities:
* Partner with IT leadership to develop long-term infrastructure strategies and technology roadmaps
* Provide architectural guidance for complex enterprise network environments
* Design, build, test, implement, optimize, and troubleshoot advanced network solutions
* Develop detailed network designs and blueprints
* Select appropriate network hardware and software solutions
* Ensure new technologies integrate effectively with existing systems and infrastructure
* Evaluate, recommend, and champion emerging technologies that strengthen network capabilities
* Support strategic technology objectives across health system environments
* Provide technical oversight for operations within the Network Engineering function
* Ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation is maintained for existing infrastructure, newly introduced systems, and network services
* Develop network performance benchmarks and report network performance against established benchmarks
* Serve as a subject matter expert across a broad range of networking technologies
* Provide mentorship and technical direction to the Network Engineering team
* Drive consistent execution of network architectural standards, operational excellence, and continuous improvement

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology preferred
* Certifications required: CCNA, Cisco Certified Network Associate
* Certifications preferred: ASE, Architecture Systems Engineer; CCNP, Cisco Certified Network
* 7 years of experience designing, configuring, and troubleshooting enterprise network systems
* 7 years of experience managing Cisco routers and switches
* 7 years of experience managing Cisco Collaboration and VoIP systems
* 6 years of experience managing Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls
* 6 years of experience managing and troubleshooting wireless networks
* Strong enterprise networking design, configuration, and troubleshooting experience

Experience with:
* Cisco routing and switching
* Cisco Collaboration and VoIP
* Cisco and Palo Alto firewall technologies
* Wireless networking
* Packet capture analysis and troubleshooting using Wireshark or similar tools

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
