Qualifications Current Florida License as a PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant) Current CP At least one year of experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred Essential Duties & Responsibilities Promote and maintain health by providing physical therapy services under the supervision of a physical therapist. Contribute to a physical therapist’s effectiveness by identifying patient care issues. Administer treatment programs for patients. Assess patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations, and obtaining updated therapy histories. Evaluate abnormal conditions by reviewing the physical therapist’s interpretations of patient evaluations and test results. Perform therapeutic procedures by administering manual exercises and instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities, such as non‑manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily‑living activities. Help patients use supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.
