Compounding Pharmacy Care Rep (PCR)

As a Compounding Pharmacy Care Rep (PCR), you'll work as part of a team that exceeds patient expectations through delivery of excellent, accurate, and efficient services. You'll assist Customers and help keep the Pharmacy running smoothly by ensuring the department is clean and properly stocked. Key responsibilities include pharmacy operations and customer service, receiving written, refill, and third-party prescriptions; verifying complete patient information; processing in RxEVO; reviewing patient preferences notes; educating patients and partners on the process of compounded prescriptions, cost, and delivery/pickup options; generating prescription paperwork; filing/maintaining prescription hard copies; processing signature receipts in the system; filing, maintaining, and retrieving prescriptions in the Will-Call area; processing customer transactions at the register; ensuring patient counseling is provided on all applicable prescriptions, following TSBP regulations and H-E-B SOPs; following proper procedures; ensuring the correct medicine is delivered to the correct patient; completing medical intake forms; ensuring privacy and confidentiality of personal health information (HPI) as required by HIPAA; participating in/may help schedule Rx Screening events, flu shots, immunizations, or other professional services events/programs; answering customer questions regarding products; assisting with selections; providing excellent customer service; performing cleaning duties in the Pharmacy; taking out trash; cleaning/sanitizing prep areas, equipment, sales floor, display cases, shelf edge, etc.; complying with all store, department, and process SOPs.

Responsibilities also include receiving/stocking, managing UPS exceptions, receiving inventory and reviewing for accuracy on all incoming loads; staging inventory for stocking; ensuring quality of incoming products by physically inspecting packaging and verifying code dates; accurately stocking inventory; participating in daily return-to-stock procedures; communicating vendor stock conditions/levels to appropriate parties; maintaining solid partner and vendor relations; processing invoices daily; reviewing incoming invoices and outgoing credits to ensure accurate completion; properly filing paperwork; using online tools to ensure vendors are given consistent and timely credit on DSD merchandise; researching/resolving unusual billing issues with the appropriate parties; escalating as necessary; maintaining a return goods station for all damaged product; performing established product processes to assure asset protection and reduce shrink; maintaining department; stocking product and rotating items as needed; merchandising products; checking shipments for out-of-date/damaged products to ensure freshness and quality; maintaining standards in shrink, safety, inventory control, and sanitation.

Inventory management includes assisting with inventory control; loading, unloading, and moving; ordering all necessary products from DSD vendors, as needed (supplies, equipment, ingredients, etc.); using H-E-B Symbol and SRS applications; following the 8-step process; executing all new item placement and store-assigned category updates; assigning a product shelf assignment (PSA) to all plan-o-gram items and displays; properly setting up plan-o-grams; auditing to ensure accuracy; ensuring ad, price, and item sign accuracy; building, stocking, maintaining, and taking down store displays; ensuring integrity of shelf tags and signage in department; preparing tags as needed.

Qualifications and key requirements include age requirement of 18+; work experience of 1+ years in a retail environment; pharmacy experience preferred; experience in new item cut-ins, refresh process, and reviewing plan-o-grams for accuracy (is a plus); understanding of general safety guidelines; strong communication and interpersonal skills; strong customer service skills and phone etiquette skills; computer skills (e.g., MS Office, H-E-B systems and applications); reading/writing skills; organization skills; detail-oriented; ability to properly handle confidential information; ability to prioritize tasks and work with little direct supervision; ability to work as part of a team; willing to pitch in at any moment for any reason; open to cross-training; education: HS diploma or GED or equivalent; licenses/certifications.

Physical demands and working conditions include functioning in a fast-paced, retail environment; standing for extended periods; working extended hours/rotating weekend schedules; remaining flexible to the needs of the business; managing in excess of 50 lbs.
