Staff Attorney, Private Funds

The Staff Attorney - Private Funds will assist Associates, Counsel, and Partners in various funds matters, including reviewing and preparing documents and agreements for fundraising, secondary transfers, and ongoing fund maintenance.ResponsibilitiesAssist with fund formation and document drafting for a range of private fund clientsReview and track investor subscription documentsAssist with investor onboardingManage fund closingsPrepare basic funds-related agreements, including transfer agreementsWork with clients and investors to process and close secondary transfersCompile key documents including master side letters and most favored nation clause compendiumsAssist with AML and KYC review and complianceAssist with ongoing fund and compliance workOther tasks as neededEducationRequiredJ.D. from ABA accredited law schoolAdmission to bar of local office jurisdictionTranscripts will be required during the recruitment processSkills & ExperienceRequiredStrong technical and computer skillsExcellent written and oral communication skillsStrong organization and time management skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and demands on timeStrong attention to detailPreferredKnowledge of Excel, iManage, WordSalary InformationNY Only: The estimated base salary range for this position is $130,000 to $160,000 at the time of posting.The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
