Technical Business Development Representative

Job Description The Technical Sales BDM will drive territory sales through technical product discussions with customers. This role collaborates with clients to identify cross‑sell opportunities and develop strategies to integrate exclusive brand products into proposals. The BDM acts as an internal manufacturer’s representative to generate demand and drive adoption of AV products. Strong technical presentation skills, deep knowledge of Pro AV product lines, and comfort meeting with engineers, salespeople, owners, and C‑Suite personnel are essential. Job Duties Work closely with regional ProAV sales teammates to drive business in the region, coordinating engagement and training with customers. Provide technical support to strategic brands with customers, ensuring project success, and acting as the technology subject‑matter expert. Conduct proactive outreach and targeted selling efforts to promote AV products among existing customers. Attend industry events to meet customers, discuss product solutions, and provide training. Achieve sales targets, report metrics, and identify new opportunities. Facilitate system designs with the internal design and professional services teams. Maintain effective communication with management regarding duties and responsibilities. Accurately report metrics and track sales in management tools. Respond quickly to customer needs and capture every sales opportunity. You Must Have 3+ years of experience in the technology of the Audio‑Visual industry; problem‑solving with strong client/executive relationship management. Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time. Active and clean driver’s license. We Value Experience in distribution and the ability to sell across product categories and vendors.
