Irrigation Manager

Job Description Location: Milton, United States Posted on 05/28/2026 Responsibilities: Develop and implement a regular maintenance schedule for all water management technicians. Conduct routine inspections to identify and address issues promptly. Coordinate necessary repairs, including fixing leaks, replacing faulty components, or adjusting sprinkler heads. Monitor and optimize irrigation schedules, adjusting watering patterns based on weather conditions, plant types, and system performance to conserve water and promote plant health. Implement water‑saving technologies and practices, predominantly Weathermatic. Stay informed about local water regulations and ensure compliance. Lead and manage a team of irrigation technicians, providing guidance and training to ensure high‑quality work and adherence to industry standards. Provide training on proper installation, maintenance, and repair techniques. Foster a culture of safety and efficiency within the team. Work closely with asset managers and, as needed, clients, to understand their irrigation needs. Recommend improvements or upgrades to existing systems. Address client inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally. Stay updated on advancements in irrigation technology. Integrate smart irrigation systems and sensors for precise control. Utilize data analytics to optimize irrigation schedules and identify improvement areas. Maintain detailed records of installations and maintenance activities. Keep an inventory of spare parts and equipment. Manage technicians' schedules and daily/weekly time approvals. Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency. Stay informed about industry best practices. Requirements 3+ years of experience in irrigation system installation, maintenance, and repair. Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Knowledge of irrigation systems, controllers, valves, pumps, and troubleshooting techniques. Experience with smart irrigation technology and water management platforms is a plus. Understanding of water conservation practices, irrigation scheduling, and local water regulations. Ability to lead, train, and motivate a team while maintaining high quality and safety standards. Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and internal teams. Strong organizational skills with experience managing schedules, approvals, documentation, and inventory. Proficient with mobile technology, reporting tools, and basic computer applications.
