Occupational Therapist - Acute Care

Schedule

This is a 10-hour day shift position, working from 07:00 AM to 05:00 PM, with a rotating weekend schedule every six weeks.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a passion for patient care, focusing on diverse patient diagnoses including multi-trauma, neurological conditions, and orthopedic cases.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients across various units, including Acute, Medical, ICU, and Inpatient Rehabilitation.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
• Utilize advanced therapy techniques such as edema massage, kinesiotaping, and orthotics.
• Manage patient caseload effectively while maintaining productivity standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Washington State Occupational Therapist license.
• Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience.
• Experience with evaluations and treatment of a variety of diagnoses, particularly in acute care settings.
• Must be flexible and willing to float between departments as needed.
• Strong time management skills and ability to work independently.
