Description

• Deliver individualized therapy sessions that concentrate on communication improvement, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
• Engage with an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and family members, to foster holistic care plans.
• Provide educational guidance for patients and their families to reinforce progress beyond the therapy room.
• Participate in the delivery of speech therapy assessments and interventions for select inpatient cases, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
• Maintain thorough and precise documentation, aligning with the standards set by state, federal, and organizational policies.
• Commit to ongoing professional development through continuing education and collaborative peer learning.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification necessary within 30 days of employment.
