- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using both standardized tools and observational methods.
- Design tailored treatment strategies that focus on immediate goals while also considering long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
- Deliver individualized therapy sessions that concentrate on communication improvement, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
- Engage with an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and family members, to foster holistic care plans.
- Provide educational guidance for patients and their families to reinforce progress beyond the therapy room.
- Participate in the delivery of speech therapy assessments and interventions for select inpatient cases, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
- Maintain thorough and precise documentation, aligning with the standards set by state, federal, and organizational policies.
- Commit to ongoing professional development through continuing education and collaborative peer learning.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification necessary within 30 days of employment.
- Expertise in evidence-driven treatment methodologies for diverse age groups, with an insightful grasp of both developmental and acquired speech and language disorders.
- Exceptional communication abilities with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
