Overview The Strategic Technology Group (STG) unit at Infosys is designed for advanced programmers and senior technologists who wish to tackle complex, large‑scale technology challenges beyond traditional development roles. The unit brings together specialist programmers, senior technologists, and technical leaders with expertise in software design, cloud‑native architectures, enterprise platforms, data engineering, and emerging technologies such as generative AI and agentic AI. Members play a strategic role in shaping technology direction, solving complex business challenges, and delivering resilient, high‑quality outcomes. The STG unit emphasizes software development excellence, innovation, and continuous upskilling, offering experienced talent the opportunity to work on transformational initiatives and grow as trusted technology leaders within Infosys’ global delivery ecosystem. Responsibilities Evaluate project requirements and use cases to deliver high‑quality design, frameworks, and production‑ready code products. Design technology frameworks for complex scenarios, develop design patterns and reference implementations, and conduct design reviews. Deliver high‑quality code across applications, databases, and integrations. Optimize code, debug complex routines, and develop code generators and pilot implementations for reusable components, ensuring defect‑free production‑ready code. Work closely with other teams to ensure alignment on project goals and technology implementations. Provide technical guidance to peers and help maintain delivery consistency and code quality. Identify proof of concepts (PoCs) for emerging programming; independently develop PoCs for new technologies and complex modules, ensuring timely delivery. Provide inputs for multi‑technology and multi‑language high‑risk deployments. Evaluate and implement technical services to meet high‑quality service (QoS) requirements, aligning with business and IT KPIs. Create reusable assets and deliver defect‑free, impactful code to achieve quality benchmarks and Zero‑Defect Delivery. Support complex projects by resolving technical challenges and reducing risk exposure. Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to inform decision‑making and enhance project outcomes. Support test automation and execute test strategies to drive quality improvements. Required Skills and Experience Core development experience in Scala, Python, Spark, or Hadoop application development. End‑to‑end implementation of projects using Cloudera Hadoop, Spark, Hive, HBase, Sqoop, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Grafana, and the ELK stack. Experience in AI‑Powered Intelligent Data Integration & Transformation and expertise in AI‑powered data lakes. Proven experience in architecting and administering Snowflake, Azure, and Google Big Data platforms. Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, data integration, and analytics workflows. Experience in categorizing, cataloging, cleansing, and normalizing datasets. Hands‑on experience with platform monitoring, automation, and DevOps tools. Experience managing hybrid environments (on‑prem and cloud). Excellent communication and leadership skills. Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks. Technical ability to build bespoke AI agents, multi‑agent systems using Python and frameworks like LangGraph, LangChain to build applications tailored to nuanced, real‑world business needs. Build AI‑assisted workflows (classification, enrichment, response generation, decision support) and implement structured outputs, prompt pipelines, and reliability safeguards. Preferred Skills and Experience Sound knowledge of software engineering design patterns and practices. Experience with Ranger, Atlas, Tez, Hive LLAP, Neo4J, NiFi, Airflow, or any DAG‑based tools. Knowledge and experience with cloud and containerization technologies: Azure, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Docker. Planning and coordination skills. Experience and desire to work in a global delivery environment. Ability to work in a team in a diverse/multiple stakeholder environment. High initiative and flexibility. High customer orientation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Additional Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution; alternatively, three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of each year of education.
