Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse will work in the Labor and Delivery unit. The position requires a commitment of working three 12-hour night shifts per week. The average daily census is approximately 350 deliveries per month. Ratios in Labor and Delivery are primarily 1:1, with some 1:2. The antepartum unit ratios vary between 1:1 and 1:4 based on patient acuity. The unit consists of 18 rooms. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. First-time travelers are accepted. The role includes skills such as administration of blood and blood products, management of antepartum patients, and recognizing abnormal fetal heart rate patterns. Experience with circulating C-sections and assisting with high-risk deliveries is essential. The Registered Nurse will perform triage on obstetrical patients and will be involved in labor management. Candidates must be willing to float within service line and scope. A flu vaccine is required, with only medical or religious exemptions considered. Travel flexibility is expected. This position emphasizes teamwork and collaboration to provide optimal patient care.
