Staff Accountant

Senior Staff Accountant Direct Hire | Southeast Houston (100% Onsite) $90,000 - $110,000 Base + Quarterly Bonus LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a manufacturing company to identify a Senior Staff Accountant for its Southeast Houston operation. This role offers exposure to accounting, FP&A, cost accounting, tax, audit support, and executive reporting within a large manufacturing environment. Responsibilities
- Perform month-end close, journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate general ledger records and ensure transactions are recorded in the correct accounting period.
- Support financial statement preparation, cash flow reporting, and management reporting.
- Analyze costs, cost centers, inventory, and manufacturing-related transactions.
- Assist with internal and external audits, tax reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Utilize SAP and Excel to analyze and transform financial data for reporting and decision-making.
- Partner with FP&A, Operations, Purchasing, and Leadership teams on reporting and financial analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- 3+ years of accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, including debits, credits, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Manufacturing, industrial or metals industry experience preferred.
- SAP experience strongly preferred (ECC experience a plus).
- Strong Excel skills and ability to work with large datasets.
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
- Strong accounting aptitude and analytical skills.
- Resourceful, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Comfortable working under tight deadlines and during audit periods.
- Able to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Calm, professional demeanor when working under pressure.
- Base salary: $90,000 - $110,000
- Quarterly performance-based bonus opportunity (target up to 20%)
