Job DescriptionPay Rate: 23.69Physical Location: 3601 Sunset Blvd West Columbia, SC 29169Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agenciesLoad trucks and secure product in accordance with customer requirementsLoad and unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting deviceMonitor material usage on work floor and supply production lines with raw materialsWeigh materials or products and record results on tags, labels, or production schedulesKeep production lines supplied with raw materialsInventory product as needed. And label, sort, wrap and tie productUnload and stack material by raising and lowering lifting deviceAdapt schedule to work alongside the changing demands of the warehouseCommunicate with floor lead – maintenance issues, downtime, production issues, unacceptable or non-conforming loads, poor bale quality, or any other issues with material being handledMeet all company safety policies and report any concerns related to required maintenance of machinesSpecial projects as business dictateDuties may be expanded upon and additional duties may be assignedSupervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.Skills, Qualifications, And RequirementsMust be 18 years of ageMust have earned a High School Diploma, GED, required schooling, qualifying experience or skillsForklift Operator experience preferred; strong knowledge of machines in a manufacturing settingAbility to work a flexible scheduleAbility to follow detailed instructionsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentTeam-oriented and self-directedMust read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to this position and to the safety regulationsMust meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base profile (below) for this positionMust be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this jobMust be able to perform all the job functions safelyMust meet the company quality and performance standards for the job as specifiedMust agree to wear the proper assigned PPE and shoes approved for this job as specified in Contact and Safety Requirements
