Mechanical Piping Design Engineer

Our client, a leader in innovative engineering solutions, is seeking dedicated Mechanical Piping Design Engineers to join their dynamic team. As a Mechanical Piping Design Engineers, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting multidisciplinary project teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent collaboration abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Mechanical Piping Design Engineers

Location: Broomfield, Colorado

Pay Range: $90-150k depending on experience level 

What's the Job?

• Work under limited supervision alongside talented engineers to design, develop, and test mechanical components and assemblies.
• Lead and contribute to engineering projects across various hardware needs and locations.
• Utilize mechanical design tools such as Onshape and Ansys to create innovative solutions that meet customer requirements, from prototypes to commercial products.
• Manage design definitions and changes by interfacing with Arena PLM to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Advance the maturity of mechanical engineering processes, tools, and outcomes through continuous improvement initiatives.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 6+ years of mechanical design experience, including 3D CAD modeling, 2D drafting, and electro-mechanical or opto-mechanical design and packaging.
• At least 3+ years of experience summarizing project progress to management and team members.
• Experience with stress or thermal analysis and working with complex mechanical components and assemblies.
• Ability to travel up to 10% as needed for project requirements.
