Accounting Associate | Established Private Equity Firm | NYC (Hybrid) About Our Client Our client, a long-standing and well-established private equity firm, is seeking an Accounting Associate to join their team in New York. With decades of experience and a sizable, diversified capital base spanning flagship funds, separately managed accounts, and a retail-facing vehicle, the firm offers a stable platform with a global presence. The team is lean and collaborative, offering strong day-to-day exposure to senior accounting and fund leadership. Position Highlights Hybrid schedule (4 days in-office, 1 remote) Exposure to an established PE platform with a strong institutional track record Direct collaboration with VPs, Controller, and General Partners Well-established firm with a long operating history and scale Key Responsibilities Partner with the Accounting VPs on daily fund operations, including reconciling cash and reviewing investment activity Help manage the ongoing financial accounting and administrative needs of private equity fund-of-funds Liaise directly with the third-party fund administrator on routine operational matters Perform a first-level review of quarterly financial statements Conduct an initial review of journal entries and cash reconciliations Maintain accounting books and records for the general partner entities Support preliminary preparation work ahead of the annual audit Assist with tax estimate calculations and return filings Prepare reporting and provide support to the Controller and General Partners Reconcile data across multiple accounting systems Organize, review, and maintain accounting documentation and records Provide broader support to the accounting team as needed Atlantic Group
