Job Description

The Warehouse Technician supports daily operations in a supply store environment by safely handling, storing, and moving materials using material handling equipment. This role focuses on accurate receiving, inventory control, and order picking, while maintaining a clean, organized, and safety-focused warehouse. The position follows a regular weekday schedule and may require occasional overtime or weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Use material handling equipment to manage inbound and outbound shipments, including loading and unloading trucks and moving materials into and out of warehouse racks and between designated locations.

• Process incoming freight from parcel carriers such as UPS, FedEx, Airborne, and DHL, ensuring materials are accurately received and recorded.

• Safely operate assigned material handling equipment, ensuring all equipment is inspected before use and is in safe operating condition.

• Report all accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions promptly to the appropriate supervisor or point of contact.

• Stock and arrange products in warehouse racks to support efficient inventory turns and easy access to materials.

• Perform cycle counting to determine accurate material quantities and support inventory accuracy.

• Receive material into inventory and move material by quantity between designated locations, ensuring correct part numbers, quantities, and data fields are entered into electronic inventory records.

Essential Skills

• Experience working in a warehouse or supply store environment, with familiarity in material handling and inventory processes.

• Ability to operate material handling equipment safely, including pallet jacks, forklifts, or similar equipment, with prior forklift experience strongly preferred.

• Capability to use rolling ladders and work at height to retrieve products from taller warehouse racks while maintaining safety standards.

• Strong attention to detail for verifying part numbers, quantities, and data fields when receiving, moving, and picking materials.

Work Environment

This role is based in a warehouse supply store setting with a regular schedule of 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with flexibility for overtime and weekend work as needed.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Bloomington, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.25 - $19.50/hr.
