DEPARTMENT Planning POSITION ACCOUNTABLE TO Customer Support Supervisor POSITION TYPE Full-time or part-time, hourly (Non-exempt) JOB SUMMARY Prepare the step-by-step processing plan in the form of a job traveler document based on customer and specification requirements. The position requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and within a team in a fast –paced environment on a daily basis. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Read and understand Hixson Metal Finishing procedures (HPS’s) Understand and perform Contract Review process Understand Hixson Metal Finishing’s processing capabilities Work in accordance with customer and regulatory (i.e. FAA) requirements Correctly interpret customer PO requirements Read and understand specification requirements and verify this against customer requirements Read and understand basic drawing / blueprint requirements Interface with customers regarding questions relating to their purchase order requirements, missing information on PO, etc. Prepare Job Travelers, certifications, and prepare/maintain frozen process procedures Follow all safety policies and procedures Receiving Inspection: Count, Visual Inspection, Completion of Previous Operations, etc. Maintain a clean and organized department (daily) Process parts in accordance with customer requirements, procedures, work instructions, and job traveler with a high level of quality to achieve part conformity Complete orders in accordance with the production schedule Complete all necessary processing paperwork with accuracy Ensure 100% quality and on-time delivery for customer orders Perform in-process inspections Participate in corrective actions and support troubleshooting of discrepancies Participate in continuous improvement initiatives Work overtime/ weekends as needed to support customer needs REQUIRED SKILLS Good communication skills, both written and verbal Good customer service skills Ability to read and write in English Legible handwriting Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously Basic sketch and blueprint reading skills Use inspection equipment (calipers, micrometer, mechanical gages, x-ray, and thickness gages) Detail-oriented Basic computer skills Basic mathematics skills Positive, can-do attitude with excellent attendance and punctuality Must be able to work independently with little supervision after completion of the training period SKILLS Familiarity with process specifications in related industry, AS9100D Requirements, and Nadcap Chemical Processing PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to stand and/or walk on your feet for extended periods of time Must pass a drug test and criminal background check Ability to lift and move 50 pounds without mechanical assistance EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED High School Diploma College is a + COMPANY DESCRIPTION Hixson Metal Finishing is a premier metal finishing company whose vision is rooted in excellence, integrity, and accountability.
