About the Role
The Company is in search of a VP, Head of Business Development for Lending Partnerships. This key role is focused on leading the expansion of the lending business through external strategic partnerships. The successful candidate will be the primary representative of the company in the fintech, retail, and banking ecosystems, with a strong emphasis on building and managing third-party relationships to drive lending volume growth. While the role is partnership-centric, it also demands a high level of P&L accountability, requiring a leader with a deep understanding of deal diplomacy and partnership economics. The VP will be responsible for designing and executing the BD strategy, managing channel P&L, and ensuring the financial health of partner-led channels. Additionally, the role involves close collaboration with product and engineering teams to maintain competitive product suites and seamless partner onboarding. Applicants for this role at the company should have a proven track record in business development or strategic partnerships within the fintech or banking sector, with a focus on consumer credit products. A minimum of 10 years' experience is required, along with a deep understanding of lending, particularly HELOC and unsecured loans. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in deal-making, the ability to build and stress test business cases, and the agility to navigate between different lending scopes. The role demands a strategic thinker who can maintain executive-level relationships and is adept at ensuring that products are positioned for high-volume, profitable growth.
