FEED MILL OPERATOR

KENT Nutrition Group, Inc., a member of the KENT WORLDWIDE™ family of companies, has an exciting opportunity for a Feed Mill Operator at our Altoona, IA facility. In this role, you will support feed production operations through ingredient receiving and storage, manufacturing, quality control, equipment maintenance, loadout activities, and housekeeping. This is a 2nd shift position (1:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.) offering opportunities for career growth and a comprehensive benefits package. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Daily operation of equipment to process and manufacture feed products Operate the bagger, sewing machine, forklift and all feed manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently Follow warehouse and loading protocols Ensure Kent Nutrition’s quality assurance is met regarding ingredient receiving, load-out, and bagging Record and document all feed manufactured during shift Mix and prepare livestock feeds efficiently assuring accuracy and high quality Assist management with production scheduling, inventory planning & control for both ingredients and finished products Assist with equipment maintenance and repair as needed Load and unload trucks in a safe and efficient manner Observe and enforce all company policies & procedures Perform general work around the facility and other duties as assigned Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations Other duties as assigned by Plant Management

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or GED 1 plus years of manufacturing experience Farming background a plus Mechanical aptitude preferred

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
