Donation Attendant - Victorville Store

Donation Attendant Location: Victorville Thrift Store, The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC). About the role: Promote a positive shopping/donor experience, enhance customer service, problem‑solving and teamwork skills. Responsibilities Maintain and clean the area in and around the donation trailer/pod at the start and end of each shift Assist donors in receiving donated items and provide receipts Manage all reports and paperwork as instructed by Supervisors Separate and sort donated material into proper containers, properly stack as instructed Assist TSA PA/Drivers with loading donations onto trucks as necessary Inform Supervisor of needed items prior to running out (e.g., brooms, receipts, totes, carts) Secure and lock donation trailer/pod at the end of each shift Qualifications High School diploma/GED or equivalent required Must pass background check (criminal history and sex offender registry) Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions Effective communication with management, colleagues, customers, and donors Physical Demands Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, twist on an intermittent or continuous basis Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, dress carts, merchandise carts, rolling racks, furniture dollies, platform trucks, hand trucks, and miscellaneous carts Ability to move product up to 75 lbs Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation Schedule The store operates 7 days per week. Work schedules are determined by Management; employees must be flexible to ensure adequate coverage. Full‑time associates may be scheduled for any full‑time shift including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
