Schedule/Shift

This position operates on a Day Shift schedule, from 0700 to 1530, guaranteeing 40 hours per week. On-call may be required during the week and weekends.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Interventional Radiology unit is responsible for providing direct patient care, assisting in various interventional procedures, and ensuring patient comfort and safety during their stay. Candidates will work in a fast-paced environment that requires critical thinking and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Administer moderate sedation for interventional radiology procedures.
• Prepare and monitor patients undergoing CT, MRI, and other invasive procedures.
• Work collaboratively with a team of nurses and radiology staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records using the MEDITECH electronic medical record system.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology, Emergency Room, or Intensive Care Unit setting.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current Texas RN license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications must be included in the submission packet.
