Join us to innovate for impact and reimagine the future of health and nutrition for patients and consumers.POSITION SUMMARYThe purpose of the Quality Assurance Technician is to ensure that products are produced in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and Product Specification criteria. The job exists to improve first pass quality and adherence to cGMPs on the production floor at all times. The Quality Assurance Technician role acts as the quality expert on the production floor and provides guidance and advice to operation colleagues on cGMPs and Good Documentation Practices (GDPs) to ensure timely release of product or reaction to issues.Shift: 2nd Schedule: 2pm-10:30pm First 30 days will need to be on a Monday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm schedule for orientation and training.Key ResponsibilitiesPerforms in-process testing verifications of manufacturing/packaging data to confirm consistency in testing methodology and test data.Submits daily Analytical and Micro samples to quality control for appropriate testing.Performs Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) inspections as required.Conducts approval of pre-start-up activities including line/room clearance and initial equipment checks when required.Reviews in-process batch documentation to ensure real-time compliance to product specifications, good documentation practices, company SOPs, and cGMPs.Discusses errors directly with line personnel so corrections can be made if required.Reviews Production logbooks for accuracy and compliance.Ensures all colleagues strictly follow SOPs, GDPs, and cGMPs.Performs review and release of batch records/work orders.Conducts daily compliance Audit and floor walk for all applicable areas.Attends and actively participates in cross-functional shift review meetings.Experience and Education RequirementsHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred1-3 years of prior experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on quality assurance preferred.Basic mathematical skills.Ability to follow safety procedures inclusive of Nestle's Life Saving RulesAbility to speak, read, write in English and comprehend simple instructionsPhysical ability to repetitively lift up to 50 lbs., stand, climb, bend, etc. within a warehouse / manufacturing environment.Required to utilize and understand basic digital devices such as computers, iPad, etc.Overtime may be required based on business needsFollow SOPs, GMPs and all other company policies and processesWork environment may be exposed to powders, chemicals and food allergens such as peanuts, tree nuts, milk, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish and shellfish.Preferred SkillsExperience with manufacturing equipment functionalityExperience in Quality Assurance SystemsExperience working with Computer Software such as SAP, Oracle, AS400, PQM, Captiva, etcHigh organizational skills are required.High attention to detail is required.Basic computer knowledge of MS Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) is requiredUnderstanding of mathematical functions, such as mean, median, average, and standard deviation is preferredExhibit positive attitude regarding work and responsibilitiesAbility to work collaboratively within teamsPay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hourBonus Eligibility: YesThe pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at top of range.
