Travel Respiratory Therapist – Norfolk, VA

Location: Norfolk, VA
Contract: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 35 Hours/Week

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join a dynamic healthcare team in Norfolk, Virginia . This 13-week travel assignment is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RT to provide high-quality respiratory care while gaining valuable experience in a new clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients across various acuity levels.

• Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory disorders.

• Perform respiratory therapy procedures and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.

• Manage and monitor oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and other respiratory interventions.

• Assist with ventilator management and airway care as required.

• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

• Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and disease management.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.

• Respond effectively to respiratory emergencies and changes in patient condition.

• Follow all facility, regulatory, and patient-safety standards.

Qualifications

• Current Respiratory Therapist license/credential appropriate for Virginia.

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.

• Current BLS certification .

• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Previous hospital or acute-care experience preferred.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
