Phlebotomist/Donor Tech-Flowood MobilesThis position is for our Flowood Mobile Team and is located in Flowood, MS. Our Donor Technicians are on the front line every day, serving our blood donors and assisting them in their desire to donate the blood components needed to save lives. Donor Techs are hardworking and multi-talented. They've got to be detail oriented and accurate in everything they do, all while providing outstanding customer service to our donors! We have an excellent paid training program and a career ladder that allows you to advance based on your own skills development.Duties:Provide outstanding customer service to donors, with all interactions to be conducted in a friendly, supportive and professional manner.Perform all aspects of registration, donor screening, safety procedures and screening for special procedures, and venipuncture in an accurate and efficient manner.The ability to effectively manage 2 donor beds.Perform accurate computer data entry, and accurate paperwork documentation.Calibrate and maintain cleanliness of equipment before and after collection activities.Assist in loading supplies and setup/breakdown of mobilesAcquire and maintain current CPR certificationAchieve and maintain an excellent attendance record.Help perform pre-trip inspections on vehicles.Help maintain interior cleanliness of all MBS vehiclesAssist in ensuring that all supplies are packed and ready for mobiles.Operate MBS vehicles on a PRN basis.Attend all required meetings.Qualifications:High school graduate or equivalent; stable work history, previous experience or training desirable.Basic computer skills, including accurate data entry-typing test will be given via the WIN centers upon our instruction to do soValid driver's license w/excellent driving recordWillingness to obtain a CDL a definite plus!Ability to meet fluctuating and irregular work schedules with frequent travel, including some overnight travel and out of town mobiles.Desire to make a difference - in this case, a lifesaving difference - every single dayAbility to work with and through others in a friendly, cooperative, unselfish mannerAbility to work closely and accurately within established guidelines, while sometimes working at a faster than average pace -Aware of and responsive to the needs and concerns of others.Ability to frequently lift and move equipment and supplies, both light and heavy loads (up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 110lbs with assistance).Stable work historyIt's a great time to join us in our life-saving mission - you'll be glad you did!!Mississippi Blood Services is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions without regard to race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation or gender identity.EOE/M/F/Disabled/VetDrug Free WorkplacePre-employment drug testing requiredNote: Our application process is designed to be completed through this online process.
