Job Description & Requirements Specialty: SICU - Surgical Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/13/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a highly specialized adult general surgical ICU. This fast-paced environment requires skilled nursing care for critically ill patients requiring mechanical ventilation, vasoactive and sedative medication management, central line and arterial line care, as well as complex wound and drain management. The RN must be proficient with electronic documentation systems and hold active licensure in the state of Massachusetts. This position offers an opportunity to work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team committed to patient-centered care and ongoing educational development. Job Details Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week Required Qualifications: Active RN license in the state of Massachusetts. Minimum 2 years of ICU experience, with proficiency in caring for critically ill patients requiring mechanical ventilation, vasoactive and sedative medication titration, central and arterial line management, and complex wound care. Experience with electronic health records, specifically EPIC, is required. Preferred Qualifications: Certification opportunities such as Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCR) certification. Float: Float rotation may be required. Additional Information: The unit is a twenty-bed adult general surgical intensive care unit providing care for a highly acute and complex patient population.
