Private Client / Trade Ambassador Robert Hall Winery, located in the growing wine region of Paso Robles, is a pioneering estate dedicated to sustainable winemaking and regenerative agriculture. Family‑owned and operated under Jeff O’Neill, the winery is led by winemaker Amanda Gorter and is the first globally distributed Regenerative Organic Certified® (ROC™) wine producer. As a partner of the hospitality, culinary, sales, marketing, and leadership teams, this role creates and delivers elevated guest experiences for collectors, members, trade partners and VIP guests. The Private Client/Trade Ambassador represents the winery’s brand and values—regenerative farming, responsible business practices, and the connection between land, wine, and hospitality—through personalized, high‑touch service and relationship management. Duties and Responsibilities Elevated Guest Experiences Host onsite and offsite private tastings, member gatherings, estate experiences, media events, and trade partner functions. Create intentional, welcoming, well‑paced, and personalized events that reflect Robert Hall’s quality, character and standards. Guide guests through the winery’s portfolio, vineyard sources, farming and sustainability practices, hospitality philosophy, and estate story in a natural, engaging, and memorable manner. Private Client and Member Relationship Management Develop and maintain long‑term relationships with collectors, members and high‑value guests. Serve as ongoing point of contact for selected clients, including visit planning, personalized outreach, follow‑up communication, and ongoing relationship care. Maintain accurate guest profiles, relationship notes, preferences, and follow‑up details within CRM systems. Use client insight to support retention, deeper engagement, repeat visits and thoughtful wine recommendations that enhance the value of belonging to Robert Hall. Identify and pursue opportunities to deepen guest connection through membership, allocations, library offerings, events, and curated estate experiences. Trade and Community Engagement Host trade partners, sommeliers, distributors, media, and industry guests at the estate. Represent Robert Hall at winery events, charitable functions, community gatherings, and select offsite experiences. Build relationships with partners sharing the winery’s values, hospitality standards and commitment to sustainability. Collaborate with sales and leadership to cultivate relationships in key markets identified by the CMO/EVP Luxury. Support the winery through occasional travel to trade events, member experiences, or brand representation opportunities. Partnership with Hospitality & DTC Operations Plan and coordinate onsite guest visits with attention to timing, communication, and service flow for a seamless experience. Contribute to hospitality goals related to guest satisfaction, conversion, retention, repeat business, and long‑term relationship growth. Maintain a calm, team‑oriented, highly professional environment during services and events. Requirements Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in luxury hospitality, retail, resort, culinary‑focused environments with direct service to ultra‑high net worth individuals, top‑tier guests, collectors, members, private clients, VIPs, or trade partners. Demonstrated success in building and sustaining long‑term client or guest relationships. Experience hosting personalized, high‑touch guest experiences. Strong understanding of elevated hospitality standards, guest engagement, client follow‑up, and relationship‑based selling. Proven ability to communicate complex or nuanced subjects in a clear, warm, audience‑appropriate manner. Experience using CRM systems or guest databases to document preferences, track relationships, and support follow‑up. Ability to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and events as required. Must be at least 21 years of age. Required certifications: California Food Handlers Training & RBS Certification (within 30 days of employment). Preferred Qualifications Wine industry experience, especially in luxury hospitality, private client sales, or winery membership programs. Knowledge of Paso Robles, fine wine service, and collector culture. WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers, or similar wine education is a plus. Experience representing a luxury brand publicly through events, partnerships, or client development activities. Personal Attributes Warm, polished, and emotionally intelligent. Work environment: This role is site‑based at Robert Hall Winery and involves daily interaction with guests, members, trade professionals and internal teams indoors and outdoors. The schedule includes weekends, holidays, evenings and winery events. Occasional local and out‑of‑market travel for winery events, trade functions and client engagement opportunities (~5%) is required. California Pay Transparency Notice This position is classified as non‑exempt. The base compensation range is $30 per hour, with final salary placement dependent on qualifications, education, and relevant experience. The position may also be eligible for tips or incentive plans.
