Position Overview

Phaxis Education is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician or experienced Behavior Technician for a school-based role in the Acton, MA area. This position will support early elementary students with high-needs autism and challenging behaviors .

The district is looking to move quickly and will be conducting virtual interviews . This is an onsite position and requires someone who is comfortable supporting students with significant behavioral and developmental needs.

Caseload: Students with high-needs autism and challenging behaviors
Interview Method: Virtual
Virtual/Hybrid: Not available. Must be onsite.

Qualifications

RBT certification preferred
Strong Behavior Technician or paraprofessional candidates with ABA experience may be considered
SafetyCare training strongly preferred
Experience supporting students with autism and challenging behaviors
Comfortable working in an early elementary school setting
Strong communication, reliability, and de-escalation skills
New graduates may be considered with relevant experience, training, or strong clinical/school-based background

Responsibilities

Provide direct behavioral support to early elementary students
Implement behavior support strategies under school/district guidance
Support students with high-needs autism and challenging behaviors
Assist with de-escalation, redirection, and reinforcement strategies
Collaborate with teachers, behavior staff, and related service providers
Maintain professionalism, consistency, and strong communication throughout the assignment

Pay

Pay is competitive and negotiable based on experience, certification, SafetyCare training, and overall fit for the role.
